The Shia terrorist organization Hezbollah reported that its Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah, met with a Hamas delegation led by the group's deputy leader in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya. The parties discussed common interests.

The meeting was reported by the TV channel Al-Quds on Tuesday, March 12.

Discussions encompassed the latest developments in the Gaza war, the situation in the Arab settlements of Judea and Samaria, as well as confrontations with Israel along the border areas. Further forecasts regarding various fronts with Israel, opened after October 7, were also addressed.

Negotiation progress between Israel and Hamas regarding the release of Israeli hostages captured by terrorists on October 7, still held in Hamas tunnels, was discussed as well.

According to Al-Quds, this marks the first meeting between Nasrallah and al-Hayya since January of this year, following Israel's killing of Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the Hamas Politburo Ismail Haniyeh, in Beirut.

The previous meeting between Nasrallah and al-Hayya occurred in November, when al-Hayya was part of a Hamas delegation, including Osama Hamdan, the Hamas representative in Lebanon.
