New strikes targeting Hezbollah sites deep inside Lebanon, sources report

Lebanese sources have reported that Israeli forces conducted a series of strikes targeting Hezbollah sites in the vicinity of the city of Saraain in the Beqaa Valley, located in eastern Lebanon.

Additionally, strikes were carried out near Baalbek, where Hezbollah bases had been targeted the previous day.

Another attack was reported in the Nabi Chit area, with the target situated near the burial site of Abbas Mousawi, the former Hezbollah secretary general assassinated in 1992.

On March 11, around 10:30 PM, Lebanese media began reporting explosions in the Beqaa Valley following an air attack. Though the targets were deep within Lebanese territory, approximately a hundred kilometers from the border, Israel is attributed with the attack.

Lebanon's Lebanon-24 TV channel indicated that one of the Israeli Air Force's targets was a "wood warehouse" situated between the villages of Shmustar and Taraiyya.

The National News Agency (NNA) reported that one of the attack targets was a residential building in the city of Ansar.

According to Elnashra, the strikes were carried out by two Israeli Defense Force (IDF) fighters. One of the attacks targeted a location near the Dar Al Amal hospital in the village of Douris, while the other struck the western outskirts of Shmustar, resulting in injuries.

Citing a source within the Lebanese security apparatus, the Qatari publication Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed reported that Israel conducted six attacks in the villages of Douris and Taraiyya in the Baalbek region, northeast of Beirut and roughly a hundred kilometers from Metula.

The governor of Baalbek informed Reuters that the Israeli attack had claimed at least one life and left several others wounded.
