Syrian Arab News Agency: IDF struck targets near Damascus and in southern Syria
The Syrian Arab news agency reports that on the night of March 17, Israeli strikes targeted locations near Damascus and in southern Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says that Israel targeted a weapons depot belonging to the Syrian military and used by Hezbollah in Damascus province's Qalamun mountains.
"At around 00:42, the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack from the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, targeting a number of points in the southern region. Air defense forces intercepted several missiles. As a result of the aggression, one soldier was wounded, and material losses were inflicted," the SANA statement reads.
Yesterday, the IDF struck a rocket launch site in Syria. The attack occurred shortly after a rocket launch towards the Israeli Golan Heights was detected. The rocket fell in Syria without crossing the border. The IDF confirmed the information.
