Jordan shot down two drones launched from Iraq into Israel
On the night of March 18, Israeli media reported that the Jordanian Air Force intercepted two drones Iraq-launched targeting Israel.
The Jordanian news agency Petra said that Jordanian fighter jets were scrambled after "unidentified aerial movements" were detected.
The agency stated that "the Royal Air Force jets ensured the safety of Jordanian airspace and the absence of threats before returning to base."
In addition, the Jordanian Armed Forces command urged citizens not to spread rumors and to trust only official media.
Islamic Resistance in Iraq has claimed to have struck an Israeli airbase in the Golan Heights using drones. However, the pro-Iran Shia Islamist group regularly claims successful strikes on "the Zionist entity" despite its drones failing to reach Israel.
