Quds Force and IRGC confirm death of seven members in Damascus
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Quds Force announced the deaths of Muhammad Reza Zahedi and Muhammad Haji Rahimi, along with five other Iranians. This information was reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
Iranian Press TV shared a statement from Iranian Ambassador to Syria Hussain Akbari, who vowed that Iran would retaliate against "Zionist aggression."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani accused Israel of violating the Vienna Convention of 1961. He urged the international community to condemn Israel's actions and take necessary measures against them. The statement also asserted that Iran reserves the right to respond as it sees fit.
It's worth noting that there has been no official confirmation from Jerusalem regarding involvement in the Damascus attack.
During a recent IDF briefing on Israeli military actions, the spokesman did not mention the elimination of IRGC commanders in Damascus and declined to answer questions from journalists.
