On April 2nd, the Iranian state television IRIB reported that six Syrian citizens were killed as a result of the previous day's airstrike by the Israeli Air Force on an Iranian consular annex building in Damascus.
Earlier, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed the deaths of seven Iranians, including Brig-Gen Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander of the elite Quds Force, and Brig-Gen Mohammad Hadi Haji-Rahimi, his deputy.
At least 13 people were killed in the attack.
According to Al Arabiya TV channel, the main target of the Israeli Air Force strike in Damascus was the commander of the Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, who was previously responsible for the IRGC's air force.
