Chef José Andrés, head of the charity World Central Kitchen (WCK), has issued a plea to halt the "indiscriminate" attacks on the Gaza Strip, one of which resulted in the deaths of several WCK staff members.
"We've received reports of WCK personnel being killed in an IDF attack while distributing food supplies in Gaza. This is a tragedy. Aid workers and civilians should never be targeted. Never," he stated.
Andrés expressed profound sorrow, describing the deceased as angels whom he had worked with in various countries including Ukraine, Turkey, Malaysia, Gaza, Morocco, and Indonesia.
"They have faces, they have names," emphasized the organization's leader.
