WSJ: Iran may strike Israel in next 24 to 48 hours
Iran may strike Israel within the next 48 hours in response to a recent Israeli Air Force strike on an Iranian consulate building in the Syrian capital of Damascus, which resulted in the deaths of high-ranking IRGC officers, The Wall Street Journal writes, citing an informed source.
Israel is preparing for a direct attack from Iran on southern or northern Israel as soon as Friday or Saturday. However, a person briefed by the Iranian leadership told WSJ that Tehran has not yet made a final decision despite attack plans being discussed.
The article also mentions that US intelligence reports indicate a planned Iranian strike within a few days, "possibly on Israeli soil."
