Reuters news agency reported, citing a Turkish diplomatic source, that Iran informed Turkey in advance about the planned attack against Israel.
Furthermore, Iran communicated the attack to the United States through Turkey's mediation. In response, the US urged Iran to limit the scope of the attack on Israel. In return, Washington pledged to minimize the consequences of the unprecedented assault on Israel for Iran.
It's worth noting that the United States, following Israel's attack, urged Israel not to retaliate against Iran. This request came from US President Joe Biden during a phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken previously discussed with Turkey's Foreign Minister the importance of preventing escalation in the Middle East, emphasizing that it serves no one's interests.
