Qatari Prime Minister: negotiations with Hamas at standstill
Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani stated that negotiations between Israel and Hamas regarding a ceasefire and the exchange of hostages for Palestinian prisoners are currently "at a delicate stage."
"We are doing everything possible to make progress, but the negotiations have hit a standstill. This is a critical juncture, and we are exerting every effort to change the situation," he remarked.
It's worth noting that Hamas recently rejected the latest proposal put forward by mediators. The terrorist group insists on the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip and a permanent ceasefire. Additionally, Hamas is unwilling to release more than 20 Israeli hostages.
