Yemen's Houthis reported successful attack on 'Israeli vessel' in Gulf of Aden

On the night of April 26, Yemen's Houthis rebels reported a successful attack on the Israeli vessel MSC Darwin in the Gulf of Aden.

"The Yemeni naval forces carried out an operation targeting the Israeli vessel MSC Darwin in the Gulf of Aden, using naval missiles and drones. The operation achieved its objectives," the Iran-aligned group's military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a televised speech.

According to MarineTraffic, which provides real-time information on ship movements, the container ship MSC Darwin sails under the flag of Liberia and is owned by the Geneva-based MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company). At the time of the Houthi statement, the ship was located in the Gulf of Aden.
