A US official informed The Washington Post that Secretary of State Antony Blinken conveyed this message to Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
However, numerous analysts, including former US Ambassador to Qatar Patrick Theros, have expressed concerns, asserting that expelling Hamas from Qatar would pose a significant challenge for the White House, potentially hindering future negotiations. Theros described such a scenario as a "nightmare" that could render any forthcoming talks virtually unfeasible.
