CENTCOM: Four suicide drones launched by Houthis intercepted on May 10-11
US Central Command (CENTCOM) reports that on the evening of May 10 and early morning on May 11, Iran-backed Houthi terrorists launched four UAV suicide drones targeting sites in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea.
CENTCOM states that all drones were successfully intercepted.
Neither military vessels nor civilian ships were damaged in the attack.
"It was determined that these UAS presented an imminent threat to both coalition forces and merchant vessels in the region. These actions are taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US, coalition, and merchant vessels," says Centcom.
