The Iranian news agency Mehr, citing Red Crescent rescuers, reported that the crash site of the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has been identified.
Rescue services have been dispatched to the suspected helicopter crash site.
According to the agency, 46 rapid response teams are involved in the search and rescue operation, comprising about 230 rescuers in the area.
EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Janez Lenarčić stated that Iranian authorities have requested assistance from European countries to locate the helicopter crash site. Satellites from the Copernicus remote sensing program were utilized for this purpose.
