Acting President of Iran, Mohammad Mokhber, delivered his first speech since taking office after President Ebrahim Raisi's death. The speech occurred at the new Iranian parliament's inaugural meeting.
Mokhber praised Raisi's economic policies, noting that Iran's oil production increased to 3.6 million barrels per day. Despite attacks on targets in Israel, Iraq, and Pakistan, he claimed the economy remained stable.
"We hit Israel, but the economy handled it. Indices, exchange rates, inflation, and money reserves remained the same. Markets are still full," Mokhber said.
“This strength is due to the guidance of Ayatollah Khamenei and the efforts of Ayatollah Raisi,” he added.
Mokhber, previously a key figure in the regime but not in the spotlight, is known as "Ayatollah Khamenei's financier." One of his main tasks will be overseeing the presidential elections at the end of June.
