On his first international trip since taking office, acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri-Kani arrived in Damascus for talks with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
SANA reported that the discussions covered bilateral relations, the situation in "occupied" Palestine, and various regional and global political issues of mutual interest.
Assad reiterated his commitment to resistance, stating that the increased violence by the "occupiers" signifies the failure of their policies.
