Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman called for international recognition of an independent Palestinian state during a reception marking the Hajj.
"We need a state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. This is crucial for Palestinian rights and essential for lasting peace," the prince stated.
He emphasized the importance of following UN Security Council resolutions, especially those promoting a Gaza ceasefire and protecting civilians.
It's worth noting that Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, aimed to disrupt the normalization process between Israel and Saudi Arabia.
