Lebanon rejects claims of weapons storage at Beirut airport: 'come and check'
Lebanese Transport Minister Ali Hamieh held a press conference to deny a Sunday Telegraph report claiming Hezbollah's weapons depots are in warehouses at Beirut International Airport.
"This information is incorrect," Hamieh said. "The article relies on unknown sources and lacks transparency. We invite all media and ambassadors to inspect the airport facilities tomorrow. My invitation is open to everyone."
Hamieh also stated he would consult with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati about suing the Sunday Telegraph for damaging Lebanon's reputation. "No weapons are being smuggled through Beirut International Airport," he stressed.
