Arab League no longer considers Hezbollah a terrorist organization
The Arab League no longer considers Hezbollah a terrorist organization, according to Assistant Secretary General Hossam Zaki.
Zaki explained that the Arab League removed Hezbollah from the list of terrorist organizations because it "plays an important role in Lebanon's current politics and future."
Hezbollah was originally designated as a terrorist organization by the Arab League on November 19, 2017, during an emergency session initiated by Saudi Arabia. Lebanon and Iraq did not participate in that vote.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia and its allies in the Gulf Cooperation Council declared Hezbollah a terrorist organization in 2013.
