Qatari authorities have announced the transfer of $20 million to Lebanon aimed at providing financial assistance to Lebanese army personnel facing financial challenges with their salaries.
Each soldier will receive $100 per month. Doha highlighted that this decision follows a previous similar tranche approved in 2022 totaling $60 million.
The international community views the Lebanese armed forces as a stabilizing factor in the country, despite concerns over the activities of the terrorist group Hezbollah.
