Houthis report US and UK strikes on targets in Yemen
The Houthi-owned news agency Al-Masirah reported that American and British forces carried out strikes on targets in Yemen's main port city of Al Hudaydah and the province of Hajjah.
No information on damage or casualties has been reported.
The announcement of the strikes on Yemeni territory came shortly after the Houthis claimed responsibility for "two successful operations against Israel" on Sunday, July 14.
Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that an "Israeli ship," The Unific, was attacked with ballistic missiles and drones in the Gulf of Aden. According to Marinetraffic.com, the container ship MSC UNIFIC sails under the Liberian flag. A second strike targeted the Israeli city of Eilaею. The IDF did not report any interceptions of aerial threats in the Eilat area, and no air raid sirens were activated in the city.
