UN Secretary-General's spokesman, Stéphane Dujarric, sharply criticized Israeli government spokesman David Mansour for accusing the head of the UN aid agency for Palestinian refugees, Philippe Lazzarini, of sympathizing with terrorists and aiding the killing of Jews.

"Such language in an already volatile situation is reprehensible and downright dangerous. It poses a threat to a UN employee whose sole job is to help the people of Gaza and ease their suffering," Dujarric said.

Earlier, the Israeli Foreign Ministry sent Lazzarini a list of 100 names of the organization's employees in the Gaza Strip who are activists of the terrorist organization Hamas. The list contains the names, ID numbers, and "military ID" numbers of UNRWA employees.
