Saudi TV channel Al-Hadath reports that the funeral of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Tehran on the night of July 31, will take place on August 2 in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Haniyeh had lived in recent years, issued a statement strongly condemning the killing of Haniyeh.

"Israel's irresponsible behavior, including the killing of Gaza's civilians, undermines the chances for peace and threatens the region with chaos," the document states.
