42 survivors of the Supernova music festival massacre who were injured on October 7 filed a lawsuit against the Shin Bet security service, the Israel Defense Forces, the Israel Police, and the Defense Ministry, alleging multiple instances in which they failed in their duties.

Anat Ginzburg and Gilad Ginzburg, the plaintiff's attorneys, said in a statement that "the disaster could have been very easily prevented" if not for the mistakes made by the IDF, the Shin Bet, and the police.

Kan Bet radio reported that the lawsuit includes an expert opinion from a retired Air Force commander, who said that the IDF was negligent in approving the party and that any reasonable official would not have allowed it to proceed.

The 42 plaintiffs filed the claim for NIS 200 million ($56 million) at the Tel Aviv District Court.
