The terrorist who carried out the attack at a gas station near the West Bank settlement of Eli, killing two men, has been identified as Muhammad Yusuf Diab, a captain in the Palestinian police investigation department and a resident of Qalandia.
Diab has a criminal history in Israel. In 2019, he was released from prison after serving time for the theft of weapons and ammunition.
The terrorist was neutralized by Aviad Gizbar, the owner of the Hummus Eliyahu snack bar, who had just returned home on a short leave from reserve duty in Khan Yunis on Thursday.
