On April 10, the university campus transformed into a hive of astronomical activity, resonating with excitement and discovery.

This innovative educational outreach was a part of a service-learning project within the Space Science course at SRU. The brainchild of Dr. Krishna Mukherjee, assistant professor of physics, the project saw 30 SRU students guiding the young visitors through a captivating exploration of astronomical phenomena. From planetarium shows to interactive demonstrations, these sessions illustrated complex concepts like standing waves, resonance tubes, spectroscopy, and lenses, not to forget the intriguing Kepler’s Laws.
