Mike Johnson warns of job consequences for government employees in anti-Israel rallies
US House Speaker, Mike Johnson, has issued a warning, stating government employees engaging in demonstrations against Israel will face consequences.
He shared this on Twitter after learning that hundreds of US government employees plan to participate in a rally against Biden's Gaza policy on January 16.
In a statement posted on his X-blog, Johnson expressed, "Any public servant who walks off the job to protest US support for our ally Israel is ignoring their responsibility and abusing the trust of taxpayers."
He emphasized that individuals leaving their workplace for a rally should be terminated.
"The Oversight Committee Chairman Comer and I will collaborate to ensure that every federal agency initiates appropriate disciplinary procedures against anyone who leaves their job," threatened the speaker.
