210 US Congress members urge Blinken to defend Israel at International Court

210 members of the US House of Representatives sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, strongly protesting the proceedings initiated by South Africa to find Israel guilty of the genocide of the population of Gaza.

"South Africa made baseless and defamatory accusations against Israel on the world stage, perverting the legal process to delegitimize a democratic state. We categorically reject South Africa’s radically hostile position and the charges of genocide brought against Israel," the letter states.

Congressmen, representing both parties, are urging Blinken to follow their example, providing Israel with the necessary protection in countering the lawsuit. They call on him to mobilize US allies using his authority in the UN and other international organizations for this purpose.
