Israel to participate in Eurovision with revised version of 'October Rain'

Israel's public broadcaster Kan has revealed its decision to alter both the lyrics and title of the song slated to represent Israel at the Eurovision 2024 Song Contest.

Earlier, Eurovision organizers announced their refusal to accept the Israeli song "October Rain" into the competition, citing what they deemed a "political context."

As reported by News 12, the updated lyrics will be set to the melody of "October Rain," but the song will now be titled "Hurricane."

Consequently, Israel will be presenting a third song to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), as the second option ("Dance Again") was also deemed "not eligible for the competition due to the political context."
