A recent Gallup poll indicates a decrease in positive sentiments toward both Israel and the Palestinian Authority among Americans.

Favorability toward Israel dropped from 68% to 58%, and for the PA, it declined from 26% to 18%.

Regarding support for either side of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, 51% expressed sympathy toward Israel, while 27% sided with the Palestinians.

These figures represent a decline from the previous year's 54% and 31%, respectively.

Of particular concern is the significant drop in support for Israel among one age group. Only 38% of Americans aged 18-34 reported having a positive view of Israel, down from 64% the previous year.

Furthermore, 52% of respondents stated that the conflict in the Gaza Strip poses a critical threat to vital US interests, a notable increase from the 35% reported a year ago.
