Hungary's parliament overwhelmingly approved Sweden's bid to join NATO. The president's office said that Hungary's President Tamas Sulyok signed the bill that approved Sweden's accession to the NATO military alliance on Tuesday. Hungary became the last NATO country to complete the ratification process.
At the end of February, Hungarian parliamentarians voted to ratify the protocol on Sweden's accession to NATO.
After completing the remaining formal procedures, Sweden will officially become a member of NATO.
