Israeli security services have received intelligence indicating planned terrorist attacks against Israeli citizens in Northern Cyprus and Turkey.

According to mako.co.il, the Anti-Terror Headquarters will soon release an official statement regarding this matter.

In recent months, Northern Cyprus has emerged as an alternative tourist destination for many Israelis compared to Istanbul.

Security services suggest that Hezbollah and Iran are orchestrating significant terrorist acts targeting Israelis in the region, in retaliation for conflicts in the Gaza Strip and the elimination of Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon.

In light of these threats, security services advise Israelis to avoid visiting Northern (Turkish) Cyprus and Turkey in the near future.

Representatives of the intelligence services stress that Israel does not recognize Northern Cyprus as a separate state, and from a security standpoint, the risk level in Northern Cyprus is comparable to that of Turkey. Consequently, Israeli citizens in both locations are considered under threat.

Due to the heightened risk of terrorist attacks, Beit Chabad, operating in the northern part of Cyprus, has been closed.

The Chabad representative has left Cyprus and has been replaced by another envoy. Beit Chabad stands out as a potential target for terrorists.

It is worth mentioning that since the beginning of the war, thousands of Israeli citizens have visited Cyprus for vacation purposes, with some even choosing to reside there for extended periods.
