IOC head: Russia and Israel cases incomparable
The Russian Olympic Committee has voiced discontent regarding the unrestricted participation of Israeli athletes in the Paris Olympics.
According to Sport Express, Thomas Bach, the head of the International Olympic Committee, responded by stating that the situations of Russia and Israel are incomparable.
Bach emphasized that the Israeli National Olympic Committee (NOC) did not breach the Olympic Charter, unlike the Russian NOC, which demanded the inclusion of athletes from the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) under its flag.
Bach clarified, "The two cases cannot be compared because there is no such violation in Israel's case."
