In an interview with ABC television, US Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the crisis in relations between Washington and Jerusalem, underscoring that the recent operation in Rafah could have consequences for Israel.
Regarding the strained relations, Harris emphasized, "We have conveyed to Israel on multiple occasions that too many Palestinians have lost their lives. Both Israelis and Palestinians deserve security."
Expressing concern about the situation in Rafah, she remarked, "Throughout our discussions, we have consistently cautioned against any large-scale operation in Rafah. After reviewing the maps, it's clear there's little room for people to evacuate. The population of one and a half million in Rafah is largely confined there by circumstance."
When asked about potential repercussions for Israel due to the Rafah operation, Harris responded, "We are proceeding cautiously. I'm not ruling out any options."
