The Israeli national team didn't make it to the European Junior Football Championship (for players under 19 years old).
They played the decisive qualifying round matches in Norway. In the final match, the Israeli team lost 0-2 to Norway in Skien.
According to The Jerusalem Post, anti-Israeli demonstrators attempted to disrupt the match by throwing stones and firecrackers. They also tried to tear down the stadium gates.
To restore order, the police had to deploy special equipment.
