Rabbi Yitzchok Zilberstein, a prominent figure in Lithuanian Judaism, met with Sapir Cohen, Elena Trufanova, and Elchanan Danino, whose son Ori Danino remains in captivity in Gaza.
Speaking through tears, the rabbi addressed the guests: “It is written in the piyyut, part of the Selichot prayers, that God listens to crying. We must cry out and turn to the Almighty, who can perform miracles. Crying is a language through which the soul communicates."
Rabbi Zilberstein emphasized that all of Israel must continue to pray until the abducted individuals return home safely.
