The International Court of Justice in The Hague is currently hearing Nicaragua's lawsuit against Germany, where Germany is accused of enabling the "genocide of the Palestinians." The lawsuit demands that Germany cease all military and other forms of cooperation with Israel.

Representatives from Germany expressed confidence that the lawsuit would not hold up. Tania von Uslar-Gleichen, a member of the German delegation, stated, "Our commitment to Israel's security is deeply rooted in our history. While Germany supports Israel, Nicaragua's claim greatly exaggerates the extent of our involvement."

Christian Tams, another German representative, dismissed claims about supplying artillery shells and ammunition as unfounded. He emphasized that Germany continues to provide humanitarian aid to Palestinians despite challenging circumstances. "We cannot be accused of abandoning the Palestinians," Tams added.

Nicaraguan Ambassador to the Netherlands, Carlos José Arguello Gomez, who leads the Nicaraguan delegation, previously accused Germany of failing to fulfill its obligations to prevent genocide and uphold international law.
