CNN: Israeli troop deployment to Rafah delayed amid Iranian missile attack

Iran's unprecedented attack on Israel on Sunday night has led to a delay in the commencement of the active phase of the military operation in Rafah by at least several days.

The IDF was expected to issue evacuation orders to Rafah residents on Monday, but this did not occur. While KAN reported this on Sunday evening, the Likud party denied this information.

According to CNN, which cites informed Israeli sources, Israel has postponed the ground operation in Rafah as it considers retaliating against Iran. These plans have compelled Israeli authorities to postpone the offensive on Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians are currently residing.

On Monday, the distribution of leaflets calling for people to leave the city was planned in some areas of Rafah, but this did not materialize. CNN indicates that military sources in Israel declined to comment on this information.

Some members of the War Room advocate for an immediate and robust response to the significant missile attack on Israel from Iran. However, engaging in a military conflict with Iran would divert attention and resources from the ongoing war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
