The European Judo Championship has kicked off in Zagreb with 427 athletes representing 47 countries.
Here are the results for the Israeli competitors on the opening day:
Ariel Shulman (in the up to 60 kg category) was defeated in the second bout.
Tal Flicker (up to 66 kg) lost to Ukrainian Bogdan Iadov in his second match.
Baruch Shmailov (up to 66 kg) finished in seventh place.
Shira Rishony (up to 48 kg) was defeated in her second match by Italian Francesca Milani.
Tamar Malca (up to 48 kg) will be competing for the bronze medal.
Gefen Primo (up to 52 kg) lost to Azerbaijani Aydan Valiyeva in the first round.
