Dua Lipa, a 28-year-old British singer and model of Kosovar origin, posted the following message on her Instagram page: "Burning children alive cannot be justified. The whole world is mobilizing to stop Israel's genocide. Please show your solidarity with the Gaza Strip."
Lipa posted this message on Instagram Stories under a repost of the Artists4Ceasefire image, along with the hashtag #AllEyesOnRafah for millions of her followers to see.
This isn't the first time Dua Lipa has shown support for Gaza since October 7, 2023. She has also emphasized her sympathy for Israelis and stated that she does not approve of Hamas' actions (as she mentioned in an interview with Rolling Stone in January 2024). However, she believes world leaders must stop the war in Gaza.
Dua Lipa's latest pro-Palestinian post was prompted by reports of dozens of people dying in a fire in a camp for displaced persons in Rafah. However, she did not mention the IDF’s statement that the Israeli military, according to preliminary investigations, was not involved in the mass death of people in Rafah.
