The US House of Representatives has passed a bill proposing sanctions against the International Criminal Court if arrest warrants are issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

The bill specifically prohibits court employees involved in the case from entering the United States.

This initiative was introduced by Republicans, receiving support from 247 congressmen, including 42 Democrats with a pro-Israel stance. However, 155 individuals voted against it, all of whom were Democrats.

The bill is expected to face opposition in the Senate, where Democrats hold a majority. Additionally, US President Joe Biden has expressed opposition to the legislation. Consequently, the decision by the House of Representatives holds primarily declarative significance.
