'Antidote' film on Putin opponents to premiere at Tribeca Film Festival
The film "Antidote," directed by James Jones ("Children of the Gaza War," "Fight for Ukraine"), delves into the lives of those affected by a network of contract killings allegedly orchestrated by the Putin regime.
The film's main characters include an informant from the Russian “poisoning program” trying to escape the country, a political activist who has survived two poisoning attempts, and a man accused of treason who leads the investigation into Putin’s criminal network and is forced into hiding. "Antidote" exposes the extensive scheme of murders and persecutions carried out by the Russian security forces and highlights the struggles of those who challenge this system.
British director James Jones, a two-time Emmy Award winner, has his documentaries featured on BBC, Sky, HBO, and Apple TV+.
The film “Come Closer” by Tom Nesher represents Israel at the festival.
