Vice president's aircraft missing in Malawi
A military aircraft transporting Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine other individuals has gone missing from radar, according to a statement from the President's Office as reported by the BBC.
The plane disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff from Lilongwe. Its intended destination was Mzuzu International Airport in the northern region of the country, but it failed to reach its destination.
There are serious concerns regarding the fate of the vice president, with fears growing that he may have been involved in a plane crash.
Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera ordered search and rescue efforts.
