On the morning of June 11, rescuers found the wreckage of a plane carrying Malawi's Vice President, Saulos Chilima, and nine others. Unfortunately, there were no survivors.
The plane vanished from radar shortly after departing from Lilongwe. It was scheduled to land at Mzuzu International Airport in the northern part of the country but never reached its destination.
