The Wall Street Journal has listed the reasons behind the slowdown in US arms deliveries to Israel. A representative from the US State Department acknowledged the slowdown compared to the early months of the war with Hamas.

American officials claim that US weapon deliveries to Israel have slowed because much of the previously ordered equipment has already been shipped or delivered, and Israel has put in fewer new requests. According to State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller, Israel may have requested fewer weapons recently.

However, the State Department representative asserts that the current delivery pace "is currently similar to or even higher than peacetime levels."

Netanyahu told his cabinet earlier this week that Israel had seen "a dramatic halt" to arms shipments about four months ago, just as the military was going into the southern Gaza city of Rafah. The Biden administration has said it hasn't changed the overall policy of arming Israel.

Tracking weapon deliveries to Israel is challenging as orders for arms are often made years in advance, and the US government does not announce shipments.
