In a private conversation, current US President Joe Biden admitted that he is contemplating his continued participation in the presidential race. The New York Times reported the claim, saying that Biden talked to a "key supporter" whose name was not disclosed.
"President Biden has told a key ally that he knows he may not be able to salvage his candidacy if he cannot convince the public in the coming days that he is up for the job after a disastrous debate performance last week," the article reads.
The source who spoke with Biden noted that the president understands that two more events similar to the debates could fundamentally change the situation by the end of the upcoming weekend.
