The White House released a statement condemning the attack on Majdal Shams that killed children, attributing the attack to Lebanese Hezbollah.
"This attack was carried out by Lebanese Hezbollah, using a missile launched from Hezbollah-controlled territory. This attack must be condemned by all," the statement read.
The statement noted that Hezbollah began shelling Israel on October 8, in solidarity with Hamas, another Iranian-backed terrorist group.
The Biden administration is engaged in talks with Israel and Lebanon, working toward a diplomatic solution along the Blue Line to end attacks and allow citizens on both sides to return to their homes.
