The site Presse Augsburg reports a statement from Marcus Faber, chairman of the German parliament's defense committee, warning that potential arms supplies by Turkey to terrorists must not go unanswered.
"Germany must reconsider the issue of military exports to Turkey to prevent our weapons from falling into the hands of terrorist groups," he said, noting that it may also be necessary to limit Turkey's cooperation with other NATO countries.
The politician expressed doubts about the possibility of cooperation between the two countries in the defense and intelligence sectors.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan mentioned the possibility of deploying Turkish troops in Israel, similar to deployments in Karabakh and Libya. This statement has caused outrage both within the leadership of the Jewish state and on the international stage.
